Today’s traditional is fusing different design-details together & creating product that is appealing, but understated in form. We looked to the English Traditional category & pulled bracket feet, contrasting inlays & architecture for Lafayette Square. In developing our color with Sherwin Williams, we captured the subtle textures of the wire-brushed White oak & poplar solids graining with our hand-applied Charcoal finish. The coloration is black, with wear-through to show the brown undertones. On top, we add a gray powder glaze that hangs in the grain, distressing the mouldings. We selected a pipe-inspired design for the drawer pulls that is finished in burnished copper.
